Did you enjoy the eight week course and if so please explain
Really enjoyed this 8 weeks course, especially seeing how much I have grown in such a little time.
How did you find the guided practices?
I found these practices relatively easy to follow. Magda was great at explaining what each practice meant with no pressure
How did you find the group discussion?
I have enjoyed the group discussion. I would normally be a quiet, introverted person but felt at ease to participate in each discussion.
What part of the course was the most helpful/beneficial?
The mindful practice where we sat quietly and grounded our-self
Has the course changed you in anyway? Can you give examples
Yes is has changed me, e.g. When I have thoughts of using/ drinking I will engage in mindfulness practice to ground me until feelings of these nature pass.

Did you enjoy the eight week
Yes I enjoyed it very much. I learnt many twigs that help me day to day. I also enjoyed the camaraderie with Magda and my fellow students
How did you find the guided practices?
They were very good! The difficulty I had was in remembering to do them, and finding time during family life.
How did you find the group discussion?
Made very inclusive by the tutors but no pressure
What part of the course was the most helpful/beneficial?
Learning about the metaphor of the undercurrent and the river bank-realising that I do not need to keep living in the water current.
Has the course changed you in anyway? Can you give examples
I am better able to let things go, to not let myself engage in all the upsetting ''shift in the undercurrent .
Any suggestions/comments you would like to make
Thank you so much for this course. I think it is the start of changing my life for the better

Recognise the unsettled mind and ways to help settle it. The breathing techniques

I feel a lot calmer and am able to enjoy simple pleasures like having a bath or going a walk without feeling I should be doing something more productive

Exceptional. Able to discuss your own feelings along with the comments and their own findings helped to understand even more

All eight classes together built up a real feeling of learning.
Has the course changed you in anyway? Can you give examples
Yes I was able to find a place within myself to relax and focus.I can when agitated find through breathing exercises to bring myself back to tranquility and think more positively.
Any suggestions/comments you would like to make
Shyness is evident in group participation.Perhaps a one off class of bring group together in a casual sort of way,enabling room meetings to be more relaxed resulting in more expressions being made.
